Clearwell Caves - Ancient Iron Mines

Selected as the 'Best Family Attraction in Gloucestershire for 2003' by the Good Britain Guide, see why when you discover where ochre and iron ore has been 'won' for over 5,000 years - from the Neolithic period, to the present day. There are nine impressive caverns for visitors to explore with mining and geological displays throughout. Excellent gift shop and tempting tearoom to visit afterwards. Picnic area.
