Enjoy beautiful sunsets and far reaching views to the Black Mountains and Pen-y-Fan, the highest point in the Brecon Beacons National Park Nestled under a cherry tree in a secluded corner of a field, with no other guests around you, just uninterrupted views of the fields, Aconbury Woods and the sound of the wildlife and farm animals.

If you are If you are looking for total relaxation then this unique accommodation will not disappoint.

The shepherds hut sleeps 2 adults, but you are welcome to bring a tent for additional family members. You’ll be toasty and warm as the hut is fully insulated and contains a wood-burning stove with a free supply of logs throughout your stay.

It is well equipped with a gas hob and sink, kettle, mini fridge, and enough storage, cutlery and crockery for your stay. A constant supply of hot and cold water is available in the hut. The comfortable double bed is made up with crisp cotton linen purchased form “The White Company” and soft fluffy towels are provided.

A generous welcome basket will be waiting and help you get settled in.

Outside the Shepherds hut there is a seating area looking out onto fields beyond, with two chairs and a table where you can relax, eat, read a book, play a game or just admire the view. A barbeque is also provided. In the evenings you can enjoy the magic of star gazing with no street lights to spoil the experience.

Just a small distance from the shepherds hut is a private shower room with exclusive use for shepherds hut guests. It contains a mains water shower, toilet and sink. Toilet rolls, body wash, soap and hand towels are provided. There is also a changing area with a mirror and electricity point for hair driers and hair straighteners.

We are ideally situated for exploring the area, we combine the tranquillity and peacefulness of the countryside but are only a few minutes drive from the A49 leading to Hereford, the Wye Valley, Ross On Wye. the Forest of Dean, the Brecon Beacons, the Malverns, Hay on Wye,, Symonds Yat and the Cotswolds.

Shepherds Hideaway is set back from the A49 approximately halfway between Ross and Hereford.

Go through the village of Much Birch and take the turning on your right signposted “Aconbury”. Drive up this road for approx 300 yards and Shepherds Hideaway will be on the right.
