Details

The first event in 2017 proved very popular, with market stalls with a difference and entertainment on the Museum forecourt. Don’t be put off by the name ‘steampunk’ - come and see for yourself. Normal admission prices apply.

Steampunk can be described as Victorian Science Fiction and Fantasy re-imagined for an alternative today, and is all about imagination, dressing up (if you want to - but its not required), and having a most splendid time.

It is easy to join in with, the basics areprobably in your grannie's wardrobe or the nearest charity shop, and then you can add to this and bling it up to your heart's content. Top hats, goggles, waistcoats, corsets - and the whole family can join in!

During the day time visitors will be entertained on the Museum forecourt by Ichabod Steam and his Animatronic Band and Greg Chapman, who will also compere the separately ticketed Saturday Night Cabaret Show. The headline act is the incredible Feline & Strange from Berlin. See Museum website and twitter stream for more details.
