Details

Grayson Perry’s 2008 limited edition print ‘Map of Nowhere’ feature alongside works by other professional artists and students from Hereford College of Arts in the current exhibition in the Mappa Mundi and Chained Library Exhibition. ‘Mapping Inspirations’ is inspired by the Hereford Mappa Mundi and includes new works by Ewan David Eason, Genevieve Belgard, Charlie Calder-Potts and Andrea McLean as well as ‘Map of Nowhere’, which Grayson Perry has based on the style of medieval world maps like the Hereford map. It combines a representation of the artist’s body with images of items that make up the clutter and detritus of his own world. The student works have been created by second-year BA students from Hereford College of Arts, as part of their degree course. Entry is via the exhibition desk and usual exhibition prices apply.

The next exhibition, opening in mid-July will focus on Hereford’s 1217 copy of the Magna Carta. Details to follow.
