Rowlestone Court, Rowlestone,,
Welcome to Rowlestone Court
Our lovely family farm is nestled in the Welsh Black Mountains and we are a family-run venture, living on and working the land for over 70 years.
We’re lucky enough to be in one of the most beautiful places on earth and we want to share it with you.
Enjoy a short stroll or a long walk through the native species garden. Sit in the shade by the pond or wander through the glade.
Continue through wildflower meadows and ancient woodlands strewn with anemones and celandine whilst taking in the spectacular borderland views eventually arriving at the 19th century Limekilns. Look at the ponds full of invertebrates and the magical views of the Black Mountains. Our farm is open to all and has wheelchair access. Thereafter, stout walking boots or shoes are a must (it is a livestock farm after all).
Younger walkers will enjoy the Woodland Adventure Trail just off the pathway.
Kids are most welcome, with parents or guardians, or as part of school visits. There are shorter walks on the nature and woodland trails, ponds to dip nets into and a play area with climbing frames and swings; and of course many farm animals to see, including young calves and highland cattle.
Adjoining the small CL campsite, the play areas twin fort, tractor and willow dome provide fun for younger children whilst older kids and childish adults can seek further thrills on the adventure trail’s tyre tunnel, zip wire ,monkey bars, climbing walls and balance beam or just sit and wonder at the awesome oak woodcarving of King Offa complete with throne.
Visit our friendly cows who provide the cream for our award-winning Farmhouse Ice Cream lovingly made by hand in a range of mouth-watering flavours.
