Details

The Lion, Leintwardine, set in stunning surroundings in the picturesque village of Leintwardine, South Shropshire, a short distance from Ludlow, this quiet country Inn with bars, restaurant and rooms is the perfect place to unwind, enjoy a drink or dinner.

The Lion is a stylish Bar, Restaurant & Rooms set on the banks of the River Teme overlooking the picturesque Welsh Marches. Meals are served in the restaurant, lounge bar and, in the summer, on the terrace overlooking the river.

Food and Drink are central to The Lion and we pride ourselves on locally sourced food. Our Chef and his team have spent a lot of time and effort sourcing local producers of quality, fresh ingredients to ensure that the meals we serve are of the highest quality.

Our AA rosette awarded restaurant is listed in the Michelin Guide and has been recognised with a bronze award in the Gourmet category of the Flavours of Herefordshire Awards.

The cuisine is modern British with an emphasis on local and seasonal. The Lion is lucky to be associated with the family farm where sheep are raised on the rolling hills of the Welsh Marches just a few miles from the Lion. We therefore know the lamb on our menu is second to none in quality. We also have a wonderful selection of local suppliers who grow and supply vegetables, eggs, meat, and smoked fish from a radius of less than ten miles.

Tuesdays are special Steak Nights – guests can enjoy two main courses from our Steak Night Menu and a bottle of wine for just £30 per couple, but its advisable to book because this is now a very popular night.

Have a look at our website for other special occasion menus.
