Charades is conveniently situated for visits to or working at the County and Nuffield Hospitals as well as the Sixth Form College, Herefordshire College of Technology and the Royal National College for the Blind. Also, is within easy walking distance of the town Centre and the local bus and train stations are approximately five – ten minutes’ walk away.
Charades Guest House offers the very best setting for superior accommodation in a quiet conservation area. The owners Helen and Steve Craddock offer excellent facilities, and have lovingly restored the property over the past 10 years to ensure all their guests feel comfortable. The house was built in 1877 and sits in large gardens which guests can enjoy, it benefits from its own private car park which is well lit in the grounds of the house.
The six ensuite bedrooms are all spacious and light, with some giving spectacular views over the city, the Cathedral and the Black Mountains beyond. Rooms retain many period features including fire places and ground floor areas have Victorian coving and ceiling roses.
All rooms have power showers and are dressed in light oak furniture. Rooms are made up in top quality Egyptian cotton bedding and bespoke upholstery. Each room has a flat screen colour TV, tea & coffee making facilities, hospitality tray and toiletries.
Fibre Optic Wi-Fi access is complementary during your stay. There is also a big collection of Titanic memorabilia on display for your enjoyment.
Guests can also enjoy the facilities of a nearby spa a daily charge. (Please ask when booking) There are facilities in our dining room for guests to store and heat food.

Charades is situated just off the A4103 (Aylestone Hill) road into Hereford. Turn into Southbank Road, then right into Southbank close Charades is 200 yards up on the left hand side. From the railway station, turn second right over the railway bridge and take the1st turn on the right along Southbank road into Southbank close.
