The Fold, Orcop, is a self-contained open plan wooden studio, nestled in its own small garden at a typical English/Welsh Borderland countryside farmstead, Bagwyllydiart Farm.
Overlooking a newly established orchard and hay meadow, bordered by magnificent oak trees,10 acres of pastureland, and long views to Sugar Loaf, Skirrid mountains, Hay Bluff, Garway and May Hill, the surroundings will surely captivate you.
The many and varied attractions and festivals of Herefordshire, Monmouthshire, Gloucestershire, and Brecon Beacons National Park are nearby, including the Hay-on-Wye Literary Festival, Abergavenny Food Festival and Herefordshire and Ross-on-Wye Walking Festivals. The Herefordshire Trail, and new St Thomas Way, and many circular walks, are reached directly from our farm gate.
This mystical, inspiring, landscape is not only rich in beauty but is steeped in ancient history, geological significance and a richness of wildlife; our frequent visitors being magnificent red kites, tawny owls, fallow and muntjac deer, partridge and pheasant. The enquiring visitor can explore several nearby castles and ancient churches, Knights Templar Church, Garway, Romanesque Kilpeck, and monastic Dore Abbey.
