Swan Brewery

Swan Brewery

Taking English malt, Herefordshire hops, our own strain of yeast along with liquor (water), we brew ales at our Leominster brewery. Visitors to the brewery can see the brewers in action: mashing in; digging out the mash tun; adding hops to the copper; pitching or skimming the yeast; racking the beer.

The sights, sounds and smells of a brew day are an amazing sensory experience. Beer names such as Swan Gold, Swan Blonde and Black Swan indicate the beer colour, while others play on swan names and reputations: Winter Swanderland; Arm Breaker; Cygneture Ale or Bewick's Best. Our spent grain passes to a local farmer and our spent hops grace the raised beds of many a Leominster garden.

We're open each Friday 10-5 with a couple of firkins of our ales set up in our cold room for visitors to sample and perhaps purchase bright, draught take-outs.

Other items to browse in our brewery shop include our range of bottled and canned beers plus other artisan drinks, honey, damson port and handcrafted oak fret work.

Mainly our beer is delivered in casks to pubs, but we also undertake home deliveries (including holiday houses) of polypins, bottles and cans each Wednesday and Thursday.

Open Fridays 10am to 5pm with Tasting Days the first Friday of the month, usually with longer hours.
We deliver around Herefordshire each Wednesday and Thursday.
