Want to get away from it all? Our detached, secluded, rural forest cottage backs onto the Forest of Dean. Walk straight out of the garden gate into the forest for many walks across the forest and down to the river Wye. The ideal place to holiday and enjoy the wide open spaces, a true forest retreat. then return to relax in the hot tub. A great getaway for a stress free break!

Rowan Tree Retreat is an exceptionally well-equipped single storey holiday home which sleeps 5 plus baby (one travel cot provided). Guests can enjoy the cedar hot tub in private setting in the garden surrounded by the forest.

There is comfortable parking for 2 cars off road (but can fit three). The garden uniquely has direct access to the forest walks. We’re happy for up to 2 well-behaved dogs to stay. The property has WiFi & Smart TV

Due to coronavirus Covid-19 we are providing a deeper clean including a thorough triple clean of high touch areas at no extra cost. The Living Areas.
Rowan Tree Cottage has a warm comfortable sitting room with 2 large sofas and a smart TV. There is underfloor heating throughout the cottage. The well-equipped kitchen, dining area and sitting area are open plan with a high oak beamed ceiling.

1 room can be split into 2 singles
1 additional put you up bed for larger parties and travel cot available
Outside
A totally enclosed garden is surrounded by hedges with a garden table and chairs, BBQ and a hot tub. The hot tub is surrounded by forest trees and open to beautiful skies.

Next to Peacehaven Cottage which is white (the name of this is on the side facing the wall)

As you come from Coleford/Berry Hill/Christchurch direction take the road to Hillersland and Symonds Yat Rock and we’re the first house immediately on the left after the second smaller 40 mph sign. (There are two 40mph signs close together)
Rowan Tree Retreat is next door to Peacehaven cottage, a white cottage whose name is on the side facing the road. Opposite to Peacehaven cottage is a pull-in with a large gate to a farm and in the pull-in is a street light.

Rowan Tree Retreat has a gravel drive with a wooden garage

The sign for Rowan Tree Retreat is not up yet (will be sorted soon) so it won’t be ready for your visit but if you follow the instructions you will find the cottage.

The sat nav will take you to Folly Lane a right turn by the phone box. If you go that far, not far from us, turn back with the phone box on your left hand side and drive a little way and Rowan Tree Retreat is the second house on the right (first is Peacehaven Cottage the white cottage). It is close small 40mph sign & on the right but BEFORE you reach the 30mph sign.
