Brecon Mountain Railway is one of the most popular railways in Wales.
Travel in one of our all-weather observation coaches behind a vintage steam locomotive into the Brecon Beacons National Park along the full length of the Taf Fechan Reservoir and then on our newly opened extension to Torpantau, high in the Brecon Beacons. The whole trip on Brecon Mountain Railway takes 90 minutes including a 20 minute stop at Pontsticill where you can visit the lakeside cafe, play area, go for a walk or visit our new steam museum.

On your return to Pant, visit our workshops where old steam locomotives are repaired – follow the footpath to a picnic site which has an amazing view of the valley. Visit our Licensed Tearooms and buy a souvenir of your visit in the shop. Free car and coach park.

Dogs are permitted.
