Mon 14 May - Tue 30 Oct A dress fit for a King

To commemorate 100 years of women gaining the first vote we're revealing the hidden stories of women during the eighteenth century at Berrington. Discover stories of the lives, loves and losses of women both upstairs and downstairs.
Experience elements of an original eighteenth-century Court Mantua dress, owned and worn by Ann Bangham, the first lady of Berrington and wife of original owner Thomas Harley.
We're also working with local artist, Lorna Brown to redress the balance of stories at Berrington, revealing the hidden feminine aspects and how they are intertwined and integral to the masculine successes at Berrington. She brings us this in her installation, 'Eye am She'.
This event is free, but normal admission charges apply for the venue.

Accessibility The mansion is only accessible via 12 steep stone steps at the entrance.
