Fri 17 Jul Concerts for Craswall

Making their first appearance with Concerts for Craswall, The Eusebius Quartet were praised for their ‘truly excellent’ performances by The Sunday Times.

In the wonderful setting of Dore Abbey, Abbeydore this thrilling young string quartet will perform

Haydn String Quartet in A Major, Op.20 No.6

Janácek String Quartet No. 1, "Kreutzer Sonata"

Beethoven String Quartet No.12 in E Flat Major, Op. 127

Finalists in the Royal Over-Seas League Music Competition, and with regular broadcast live on BBC Radio 3, the Quartet are fast gaining a reputation for imaginative and communicative performances, enjoying the exploration of unusual repertoire.
With a growing an international reputation, last season they toured to Lucera, Italy and Santa Fe, USA and have been invited to tour China in 2021. Closer to home, as part of the Beethoven 2020 celebrations the quartet will be quartet in residence at a number of chamber music festivals across the UK including Fitzfest and the Lewes Chamber Music festival where they will perform several of the late quartets. They have also been invited to play a showcase performance at a charity Gala concert at Glyndebourne.

And for those more familiar with Concerts for Craswall, the Quartet recently collaborated with two of our past favourites. Namely, pianist Alasdair Beatson and clarinettist Matt Hunt.

Outstanding musicians in their own right, the members of the Eusebius Quartet work regularly with leading ensembles across the world such as the award-winning period group Arcangelo, the 12 ensemble and Chamber Orchestra of Europe among many others. Between them they bring influences from their rich and diverse musical backgrounds, having each studied at leading international conservatoires.

Don't miss this opportunity to hear this exciting group of talented young musicians.
