Details

Weobley Museum is situated on the site of the old police station and courtroom. The museum displays artefacts and archives which put Weobley in context through its history.

Weobly Museum is very small but we hold a wide variety of artefacts and documents relating to the Weobley area. We like to show as much of our material as we can in the space available, and we change our displays each year.

Weobley is full of Black and White timber framed houses and Weobley Museum also focuses on the features of timber framing.

We change our displays regularly.

Research at Weobley Museum

The museum holds various documents that may be useful for local and family history research including details of monumental inscriptions in the parish church and churchyard, extracts from local trade directories and transcripts of some Weobley parish registers and accounts. If you would like to see any of these please ask the volunteer steward on duty. We do not have a photocopier in the museum but can usually arrange to take any copies that you want later and post them on to you.

Many of the documents that we hold are not on open access due to lack of space. If the steward can’t answer your enquiry immediately please leave your contact details and details of your enquiry so that one of our curators can get in touch with you to see if we can help you.
