How Visit Herefordshire is Funded
Visit Herefordshire is the trading name of Herefordshire County Business Improvement District Ltd. As a Business Improvement District, is primarily funded through a Levy paid by eligible tourism-related businesses within the Business Improvement District area. This funding is ringfenced and can only be used to deliver projects and services that support the visitor economy, helping businesses achieve more collectively than they could individually.
The organisation operates independently and is governed by a Board of local business representatives, ensuring investment decisions are business-led, transparent and focused on delivering value for Levy Payers.
In addition to Levy income, Visit Herefordshire actively secures external funding, sponsorship and partnership investment to maximise the impact of every pound contributed by businesses. By working with local, regional and national partners, including those aligned with Local Visitor Economy Partnership priorities, the organisation attracts additional resources to support destination marketing, business growth, skills development, market town initiatives and major tourism projects.
This approach increases the overall investment available to the County's visitor economy and ensures greater return on investment for Levy Payers.
