The traditional town of Bromyard sits pretty on a hilltop, with far-reaching views to the Black Mountains, Malvern Hills and Clee Hill.
Among its Tudor timber-framed buildings and Georgian shopfronts, you’ll find cosy cafes, bakeries, butchers, traditional ironmongers, greengrocers, and several tempting pubs.
Enjoy a bracing walk across the beloved Bromyard Downs or, a little farther east, the 500 pristine acres of Bringsty Common.

Early spring is bluebell spotting season. Wander along the way-marked trails at National Trust Brockhampton to find the aptly named Paradise Wood, which boasts one of the best bluebell displays in the county. April ushers in the opening of many seasonal attractions, including the award-winning Frome Valley Vineyard. Take a tour and taste delicious locally produced wines, whilst enjoying the stunning orchards in full blossom.
Bromyard in the summer
Experience life in the fast lane at the annual two-day spectacle that is the Bromyard Festival of Speed. Stock up on delicious local produce at Legges and head over to Bromyard Downs for a summer picnic, where you'll be surrounded by rich wildlife, expansive views and an impressive display of summer orchids. Stay awhile and let the kids roam free at one of the many picturesque campsites.
Bromyard in the autumn
There’s a reason Bromyard’s known as a festival town - there’s a fantastic lineup for every season. In autumn, it becomes a haven for world-class music, song and dance as the Folk Festival takes centre stage. To catch the finest of the season's colour displays, visit Moor Meadow Gardens. Be sure to catch the town’s greatly anticipated Christmas Lights switch-on. There’s a market weaving through the streets and mulled cider is sure to be flowing. Spend a slow day browsing the thriving independent shops on the high street and get your Christmas shopping wrapped up. Warm up with a fresh-out-of-the-oven treat from Peter Cooks Bread.
