Cider Museum

Due to coronavirus some hospitality and leisure businesses may be offering a different service over the next few months. We will try to keep this page as up to date as possible but please check with the attraction directly for more information. Thank you.

Pomona Place,

Visit Hereford’s Museum of Cider and explore the story of traditional cider making – how the apples were milled and pressed and how the resulting juice was fermented to produce cider.

The Museum reveals the history of cidermaking from the 17th century to modern times and visitors have the opportunity of walking through original champagne cider cellars and viewing a cooper’s workshop, vat house and cider making memorabilia.

Group visits are welcome including school groups. Research facilities are available by appointment.

A programme of events is arranged throughout the year including the International Cider & Perry Competition in May which is open to small and large scale cidermakers (details available on the Museum website).

Browse the gift shop with its abundance of cider and perries, along with Hereford Cider Brandy and locally produced gin, vodka and liqueurs as well as a selection of preserves, confectionery, books and individual gift ideas. A tea room is available offering drinks, cake and soup and sandwiches, made to order. Parking onsite.
