Nordic Walking uses specifically designed poles to enhance your natural walking experience.  With the correct technique the poles propel you forward, effectively giving you two extra legs, making it easier to walk and lessening the impact on joints.

Everyone can Nordic Walk regardless of age or ability and it can be adapted to suit individual needs and goals - whether recovering from an injury, at risk of falling and needing some confidence with walking, to an athlete in training or someone who hasn’t exercised for a while.  It’s brilliant fun, gives nearly all your muscles a work out, including your abdominals and backs of arms (aka bingo wings!) and burns almost as many calories as running (but much easier!). With plenty of practice you will begin to incorporate Nordic walking into your way of life, experience improved posture, health and wellbeing.

Ali a BNW instructor from The Walking Hub in Kington is now offering classes in Nordic Walking.  Join a group, form your own or have Ali all to yourself for a more personalised class. 'Taster' sessions are run on demand throughout the year and our 'Learn To Nordic Walk' sessions are perfect for beginners and teach the official INWA 10 step technique.  For something more social we'd love you to join our fun group of Nordic Walkers for a hike into the spectacular Border Hills around Kington. And for a real treat, why not immerse yourself in a Nordic Walking Staycation at The Walking Hub B&B?
