Ledbury Christmas Lights Switch on

Start your morning at the Lantern Making Workshop (10:30–13:00, Ledbury Community Hub), where everyone’s invited to craft their own glowing lantern ready for the evening parade. All materials are provided — just bring your imagination and festive flair! From 12:00, the High Street Christmas Market opens, filled with local makers, handmade gifts, delicious food, and seasonal treats. It’s the perfect spot to find unique presents and soak up the Christmas cheer. At the Hub, little ones can meet Father Christmas and his elves (13:00–16:00) — each child will receive a small gift to take home. Over on the High Street, enjoy captivating storytelling sessions with the brilliant Jonny Fluffypunk (13:30 & 14:45), inspired by The Box of Delights and John Masefield’s works. The afternoon continues with live music from The Hey Yahs (14:00 & 15:15), enchanting appearances from the Magical Winter Fairy, and creative fun at St Katherine’s Hall, where you can make crafts or get your face painted (14:30–16:30). At 15:00, join the lively Morris Dancers in St Katherine’s Square — and even have a go yourself! As twilight falls, the town will shine with the Lantern Parade (16:15–17:00) leading to The Market House, where Ledbury Brass Band and the Community Choir will perform before the grand Christmas Lights Switch-On at 17:00, followed by one last burst of festive dancing!
