1276 Wines - English Wine Tasting & Vineyard Tour

In 1276, the Bishop of Hereford recorded the planting of vines on the south-facing slopes of Ledbury. Today, with the same unique microclimate and rich red clay soils that shaped those early vineyards, vines have been reintroduced to this historic site.

Led by Head Winemaker Laurence Cocking, the wines express the distinctive character of the vineyard’s unique qualities and its temperate climate.

We offer two tour options. The first is a Hosted Tour and Tasting, a two-hour guided experience beginning with a welcome drink. Guests are taken through the vineyard and then to the winery for insight into the winemaking process, concluding in the tasting room to sample the signature 1276 wines paired with local cheeses and charcuterie.

The Self-Guided Tour follows a designated route through the vineyard with information at points of interest. This tour provides a relaxed way to appreciate the landscape and viticulture before returning to sample three distinctive wines from the 1276 collection.
