These enchanting gardens are a botanical asset filling you with inspiration and ideas and how to work with nature. On a hillside overlooking the beautiful Kyre valley, the organic 7-acres are a tranquil haven where plants and wildlife flourish.

Created and tended by the same family since 1955, continuing with a self-confessed ‘rabid plantaholic’ adding rarely seen species from around the world which mingle with the native for a pleasing and unique effect.
Meandering paths lead through extensive shrubberies, grass garden, spring garden cottage-style areas, past pools, beds and borders, into the herb garden and kitchen garden. Enter the Lower Garden through stunning dragonfly gates, into the Fernery, down the meadow with numerous flowers, countless bulbs and many specimen trees and shrubs, through the small dingle, down through the Bamboo grove and oak circle, pass another pool, at the bottom admire the stately Redwoods. Seats and sculptures abound, some created by local craftsmen, others home-made, often from recycled materials.

Every season and corner holds interest for novice and avid gardener, questions are welcome. From Snowdrops to autumn colours these gardens are a “Must See”.Wander on your own or book a guided tour by the head gardener. No dogs.
