Church House is a lovely Georgian place to stay in Kington, with a large and delightful garden that enhances the spacious and informal feel of the place.  This is a perfect area for walking, cycling (both on and off-road), bird-watching, etc.

The great Hergest Ridge starts right outside our door and attracts walkers from far and wide, with amazing views in all directions from its 1400ft summit. No fewer than 4 long-distance footpaths pass through or start at Kington.  This is also an excellent jumping-off point for horse-riding and canoeing - and golfing, on the highest course in England, just up the hill from us.  It's also a good base from which to visit the famous book-town of Hay-on-Wye (a  perfect outing on a wet day.) or the spectacular scenery and dams of the Elan Valley, in mid-Wales.

The owners are Lis and Andrew Darwin. We have lived here for 30 years, and we enjoy welcoming bed and breakfast guests as much today as we did when we first started. We have one twin and one double room, with particularly comfortable beds and private bathrooms.

B & B costs £100 for 2 people sharing a room, or £70 for a single.  Breakfast is, of course, a full cooked English affair, is available from 6am, and is intended to keep our many walking guests going all day long!
