The colourful and distinctive musical voice of this exciting international piano quartet draws on the rich cultural and artistic backgrounds of the four musicians. Their multiple languages, nationalities, breadth of experience and specialisms range from historical performance to new music, contribute to their multifaceted and personal performances.

Both Roman and Milena Simovic enjoy illustrious international music careers as soloists, chamber and concerto performers. He is leader of the London Symphony Orchestra and Milena is principal viola with the Ulster Orchestra.

David Cohen has established a reputation as one of the most charismatic and exciting young cellists of today. Hailed by critics as “Magnificent” [Gramophone], he is a graduate of the Yehudi Menuhin School and the Guidhall School of Music & Drama. He studied with the finest cellists of this time and was appointed Principal Cello of both the London Symphony Orchestra and the Philharmonia Orchestra in 2021.

Winner of a 2016 Lincoln Center Emerging Artist Award, as well as classical music’s bright young star award for 2007 by The Independent, pianist Wu Qian has maintained a busy international career for over a decade.

Born in Shanghai, where she received her early training before being invited to study at the Yehudi Menuhin School, Wu Qian has appeared as soloist in many international venues and is a founding member of the Sitkovetsky Trio.
