Make Waves - Hereford River Carnival 2022

Hereford
-

Make Waves is the theme of this year's Hereford River Carnival as we bring the seaside to Hereford

There’ll be something for everyone and exciting new things to discover – music, dancing, sport, arts, crafts, old fashioned games and masses of mucking about on the river.

A magical, mystical performance at dusk on Friday 26th will be followed by a day of fun and frivolity on Saturday 27th.

Dress up and join the giant heads and puppets in the colourful street carnival through Hereford or float down the Wye on a decorated float as part of the main river carnival itself.

There really is something for everyone from making and craft activities to singing and dancing and sampling some of Hereford's finest food for our brilliant indie food businesses.

For 2022, we have some old favourites like the RSPCA Fun Dog Show on Castle Green, and the Festival of Sport where local clubs come along and showcase their sports with a range of taster activities.

We've got a green zone, our Zen Zone (for peace and quiet), a fabulous Festival of Voices and a whole load of performers and bands.  Check out the pantomime horse race - new for 2022 - too.  Then there's our sandy beach - we said we were bringing the seaside to Hereford and much, much more.

Come on, hop on a float and get on the Wye to make it the best River Carnival ever.
