Caring For The Planet

We built Cruckbarn with our own hands from oak trees that came from the surrounding woodland. We used stone from the local quarries, recycled slates for the roof and lime in the floor and walls. Underfloor heating and hot water are fuelled by a ground-source heat-pump, and supplemented by a cosy woodburner. We have always sought to respect the beautiful environment in which Cruckbarn sits. It is a 'labour-of-love' and we extend a warm welcome to like-minded guests.
