Cwtch Cabins & Camping

5 Star reviews “Fantastic camp-site. It’s a brand new site in July 2020, with sparkling clean facilities, lovely wild grasses, and veg beds scattered around. It’s off-grid, but there are no compromises re hot water etc. The use of their fire-pits is a nice touch too.

Ruth & James are very keen not to overcrowd the site, which is particularly important at the moment, but will ensure a pleasant experience here long after 2020. Lots of nice local walks, and a short drive from the Malvern Hills.” Cooking on a fire-pit is the order of the day and Ruth has lots of recipes that she is happy to share to get you going if you are lacking inspiration.

A very green site with a strong ethos for reducing, re-use and recycle. Lovely, ‘get away from it all’ place with a historic house, local cider makers and pubs within a leg stretch walk (about a mile). The village of Much Marcle itself hosts a list of events each year before you even have to travel more than a mile! Nestling, equidistant between Ledbury, Ross-on-Wye and Newent you have your pick of fantastic historic market towns (with their Market Houses) and the most amazing independent shops.

Very slightly further away you have Hereford (another fantastic Market town), Gloucester and Worcester with their collections of cathedrals, museums and shopping. The Wye Valley is renowned for outdoor activities such as walking, cycling and canoeing.

Normally open all year round but with Covid restrictions opening for 2021 season on the 2nd April 2021. Taking bookings now!

Caring For The Planet

We are an off-grid and very green site. We generate all of our own electricity here on site. We use solar thermal, solar PV and biomass to heat the water for the showers and basins (yes, we have hot showers). Your cabin or shepherd hut will come with its own solar PV set to charge phones and lanterns and has lighting fixed inside. There are no electric hookups for tents. It's proper 'old fashioned' camping. Cook on a fire & enjoy re-engaging with nature. We do get deer crossing the field at night.
