Nestled beneath the Black Mountains in Herefordshire's beautiful Golden Valley, on the border of Wales, Drovers Rest is an award-winning organic 16th Century working farm offering luxury cottages, safari tent glamping and unforgettable farm stays.

Once a resting place for drovers travelling ancient stock routes to London, today it's a place where people come to slow down, reconnect with nature and experience life on a working organic farm.

Your stay is about much more than just beautiful accommodation. Meet our friendly farm animals, wander 40 acres of countryside, enjoy campfires beneath dark skies, explore the nearby book town of Hay-on-Wye, or simply relax and take in the peace and fresh air.

Throughout the year we host our popular fire-cooked feast nights, celebrating seasonal produce, South African braais and food cooked over fire. Guests can also enjoy farm experiences, workshops and special events that bring people together around the table and the campfire.

Whether you're planning a romantic escape, a family holiday, a foodie break or a celebration with friends, Drovers Rest offers space to gather, explore and make lasting memories. You can even enjoy exclusive hire of the farm, including our cottages, safari tents and event spaces, making it perfect for group getaways, retreats and intimate weddings.

Caring For The Planet

How the food is grown is one of our great passions. We don’t want any baddies in our food so we farm organically no artificial pesticides, fertilizers or hormone injections for our animals. The animals have the best life possible free ranging outdoors on the farm. Here we pride ourselves on Food grown the proper way. We practice field to fork using regenerative farming and permaculture methods. We compost, recycle, use green refillable toiletries and cleaning products and actively rewild to share our farm with wild life.
