Retreat to the country in old-world style. Self-catering in a former farmhouse on historic site mentioned in Domesday Book. Glorious views over water meadows of river Teme, beyond to wooded Wigmore Rolls. Six bedrooms/three bathrooms and ground floor shower. Accommodates 12 guests comfortably. Sunny drawing room is hung with family portraits, squishy sofas, and a log-burner with double aspect windows. The huge dining room has a wine fridge and 15' long oak table with chairs to seat 14. Open log fire, sparkling chandelier, silverware, and shiny glasses set scene for fine dining. A farmhouse-style kitchen with four oven AGA, separate gas hob/electric double oven range cooker, two fridges, freezer, two dishwashers, double Belfast sink, wooden central prep table, beech work surfaces, and all usual gadgetry, pots, and pans to create delicious meals from local produce and serve it on English bone china. Shop local at indie producers, farm shops, and markets in the immediate area. The back kitchen has a sink, washing machine, tumbler drier, fridge, WC & shower. The gardens have a trampoline, swings, croquet, and millstream.  Walks in every direction from the gate including a circular river walk to Leintwardine for a local shop and two pubs.  So well placed for exploring Herefordshire's market towns, mountains of Wales, and just ten miles west of luscious Ludlow.  Castles, churches, gardens, historic houses, fetes, festivals, food, and drink - take your pick and explore.  Small weddings and parties, or any excuse for a break.
