Caring For The Planet
Original spring water is used for toilets, dishwasher, laundry and garden. We compost our garden waste, and our food waste by a Bokashi system. We cultivate by ‘no-dig’ using our compost. Domestic waste goes to a septic tank and rainwater to garden soakaways. Our Biomass boilers are fuelled by sustainable wood pellets. The heating is zoned to save energy. Wood burning stoves, use local logs. The use of insulation, LED lights, solar lights, eco-knit towels and heat-recovery ventilation, all add to our sustainability.
- Eco-cleaning products
- Energy from renewable sources
- Recycling (>75% of all waste)
