Maggie's Field Campsite & Cook Hut

Hereford
A very special place, that is so much more than a traditional campsite. ½ an acre, all to yourselves – up to 10 campers in one booking, makes Maggie’s Field a perfect place for families to come together. With a Cook Hut to provide indoor facilities - place to gather around the table should the weather be inclement and, when the sun does shine, an outdoor covered dining area. A place to reconnect with nature, where children can run free – without disturbing other campers, as you have the place to yourselves. You are welcome to bring the family dog too. Facilities include: A fire pit – a small fire is set ready to light for the first evening and both kindling and logs can be purchased on site. BBQ provided and locally produced charcoal is available to purchase. The campsite has a charming compost loo with simple wash stand for ablutions. Water is available from a stand pipe on the site. Tree Swing – from the great oak tree hangs a lovely swing to be enjoyed by children and adults alike. Nature – Parts of the campsite are set aside for nature; blackthorn and hawthorn trees have been allowed to self-seed from the hedgerows, hazel, birch, sweet chestnut, field maples and holly trees have been planted. Brambles spread with unruly abandon and grasses grow long. Each spring wild flowers emerge as nature takes back control of what was a mono-cultural plot of little interest to wildlife.
