At The White Lion we are proud to use local food suppliers to produce "proper pub grub" done right. We also offer a curated selection of alcoholic and alcohol-free drinks, including local gins and several well-kept Herefordshire ales & ciders.

The pub is situated on the banks of the River Wye, providing amazing views that can be enjoyed from our large terrace garden or covered decking overlooking the river.

We're family and dog-friendly throughout the pub and garden, and offer kids meals and doggy treats (and a good head scratch!).

We also have two cosy letting rooms and seven camping pitches right next to the river, for those who want to stay a little longer.

Come and enjoy our meticulously crafted meals and hand picked beers and ciders - our team are always ready to welcome you with a smile!

Hours

We're open 7 days a week all year round, typically from 12-9pm Monday-Saturday and 12-8pm on Sundays, with food served lunch (12-2.30pm) and dinner (5-8pm).

In the winter we do close a little earlier, so please check our website for our current opening hours.

Caring For The Planet

We use local suppliers for food & drinks where possible, such as Pengethley Farm Shop, Evan's of Monmouth, Westons Cider Mill, and Wye Valley Brewery. As well as making the most of Herefordshire's excellent agricultural heritage, this also helps to cut down on food miles and sustain the local economy.

The River Wye offers amazing opportunities for canoeing, fishing and wildlife watching. Why not bring or hire a canoe and spend a few hours paddling to or from the pub? We especially enjoy watching the herons perched on the riverbanks and the kingfisher darting across the river!
