Hidden in woodland on a sun dappled slope or, occasionally under a stormy sky, The Wyelding offers a peaceful space for permissive wild camping, hut stays and restorative outdoor experiences for the entire family.

Whether you’re looking to pitch a tent under the stars, retreat to the solitude of our beautiful living van with a book or explore the landscape with your little adventurers, The Wyelding allows you to slow down and reconnect with nature.

What we offer: - Permissive wild camping - bring you own hammock, tree tent, conventional tent or bivvy bag. - A restored living van (like a shepherd's hut!) for those who need a dash of comfort alongside their wilderness (comfortable for one and cosy for two) - Family-Friendly Escapes – plenty of space for young adventures with the option to book the living van to use alongside tents, ensuring the whole family gets a good night's sleep - Go wild for a day - no need to stay overnight. Build dens, hunt dragons, lay a nature trail or just spend a day around a campfire. - Group Bookings - the ideal venue for nature-based activities including Foraging, Bushcraft and Woodland Management.

We are open all year round. We don't accept anymore than two bookings per night giving our guests lots of space. We do not offer any onsite facilities other than fresh drinking water, fire wood and fire bowls.
