Bromyard
Brockhampton manor: Step inside Lower Brockhampton, a rare medieval manor house surrounded by a moat and entered through a timber-framed gatehouse. Each room tells a story from a different era, from the 1400s to the 1950s, with sensory objects and seasonal displays that bring the past to life.
Brockhampton estate: Set in 1,700 acres of rolling Herefordshire countryside, Brockhampton is a traditionally farmed estate with ancient woodland, orchards, and parkland. Four waymarked walking routes lead through orchards, natural woodland, parkland and a circular walk with breath-taking views across the Herefordshire countryside. The routes include both accessible and more challenging routes.
Family things to see and do: Brockhampton is packed with family-friendly fun. Follow the orchard play trail with balance bikes, sculptures and natural play zones, or hop aboard the Hereford Bull trow boat for a make-believe adventure. Seasonal trails and craft activities run throughout the year, and the manor house includes child-friendly rooms with sensory objects and spotter sheets.
Café and bookshop: All of this, along with a café and a second-hand bookshop, makes for a perfect day out in Herefordshire.
