An afternoon with Monty Don OBE in conversation with Rob Penn
- 3rd October
About This Event
Monty, the nation’s much loved, self-taught horticulturalist, leading garden writer and broadcaster, chats openly with Rob, sharing tales and looking back on his times gardening and farming, and in particular, his experiences around Herefordshire and the Black Mountains.
Rob lives in the Black Mountains, writes for the FT, Observer and a host of cycling publications. He’s also a woodsman, photographer and is co-founder of the tree planting charity, Stump Up for Trees. Rob commutes to work across a heather moor on his mountain bike!
Tickets for the event will be sold by the Courtyard at £35 each and will include a raffle prize ticket, kindly donated by Lyonshall Nurseries.
Pre signed copies of Monty’s latest book, ‘British Gardens’ £35, and Rob’s bestseller, ‘It’s All About the Bike’ £12.99, will be available to pre order with your event ticket and collect from the Abbey on the day. Books must be pre-ordered by 18th September. There will be no book signing on the day.
Wine and soft drinks will be available at a donations bar during the interval.
We thank Monty and Rob for generously giving their time in support of the Friends of Dore Abbey.
