Art Exhibition: Miranda Whitten-Walker

Art Exhibition: Miranda Whitten-Walker

From 30th June until 30th July

The Hub at St Peter's

About This Event

Based in Kington in Herefordshire, Miranda Whitten-Walker is an artist and printmaker whose work celebrates local rural landscapes, hill ranges and wildlife. Working from both observation and imagination, often from unexpected perspectives, her multi-layered linocuts hover between realism and abstraction and have a painterly quality evocative of watercolours. She draws inspiration and meaning from the marks, shapes and textures left on the land by both human hands and natural forces. She is also a wildlife artist, producing detailed paintings and drawings that echo her background in science. Miranda was the 2025 winner of the h.Art Emerging Artist Bursary, and is currently Artist-in-Residence at Hergest Croft Gardens in Kington, Herefordshire. This exhibition has been extended for the whole of July, and is a unique opportunity to view a wide selection of work from her recent portfolio, in the tranquil and welcoming environment of St. Peter’s Church. The exhibition runs from the 29th June to 30th of July. The Hub at St. Peter’s is open: every Tuesday to Friday: 10am - 2pm and the first Saturday of every month: 9.30am - 11.30am.
