Art Exhibition: Miranda Whitten-Walker
From 2nd June until 29th June
About This Event
Based in Kington in Herefordshire, Miranda Whitten-Walker is an artist and printmaker whose work celebrates local rural landscapes, hill ranges and wildlife. Working from both observation and imagination, often from unexpected perspectives, her multi-layered linocuts hover between realism and abstraction and have a painterly quality evocative of watercolours. She draws inspiration and meaning from the marks, shapes and textures left on the land by both human hands and natural forces. She is also a wildlife artist, producing detailed paintings and drawings that echo her background in science. Miranda was the 2025 winner of the h.Art Emerging Artist Bursary, and is currently Artist-in-Residence at Hergest Croft Gardens in Kington, Herefordshire. This exhibition is a unique opportunity to view a wide selection of work from her recent portfolio, in the tranquil and welcoming environment of St. Peter’s Church. The exhibition runs from the 2nd-29th June. The Hub at St. Peter’s is open: Tuesday to Friday: 10am - 2pm First Saturday of every month: 9.30am - 11.30am
