Hay-on-Wye musicians Janice Day and Martin Litton invite audiences to step back into the glamour and musical brilliance of the 1930s with The Fabulous 30s, a special concert at St Mary's Church on Thursday 30th July.
Featuring favourites including Night and Day, 42nd Street, Egyptian Ella and You're My Everything, the programme celebrates the golden age of popular song through music by George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Fats Waller and more.
The husband-and-wife duo have spent years exploring the music of the decade, previously creating acclaimed concerts dedicated to the years 1931, 1932 and 1939. Their latest show brings together the very best of that research in one joyful celebration of the era.
