Guided Walk - Medieval Castle Green
- 13th August
- 14th August
About This Event
Is this the place where the story of our city began? Ancient religious site, front line military garrison and royal castle to rival the beauty and power of Windsor. We do not know all of what lies beneath our feet on Castle Green but we can tell you what we do know of this area of particular prominence during the Medieval period.
Today it’s a very pleasant place to stroll alongside the River Wye or enjoy the views of the river and meadows beyond, perhaps with a coffee from the beautiful Pavilion, Castle Green HR1 2NW what3words///plant.tiles.acted where our walk begins and ends.
Join us for a 90 minute stroll as we tell the stories of this site of important and turbulent historic interest, now a peaceful green gem at the heart of Hereford city. Starts at 2pm from The Pavilion
