Ledbury Heritage Open Days 2026
From 11th September until 20th September
About This Event
This year's theme, "Everyday Histories", celebrates the ordinary people, places and moments that have shaped our communities over time – and Ledbury has countless stories to tell.
From the birthplace of poet John Masefield, whose childhood in Ledbury inspired much of his writing, to the bustling Market House that has stood at the heart of the town for over 400 years, Ledbury's history is woven into the lives of the people who have called it home. Its medieval streets, timber-framed buildings and hidden historic gems are not simply landmarks – they are places where generations have lived, worked, traded and celebrated.
During Heritage Open Days, visitors will have the opportunity to step inside some of Ledbury's most treasured buildings, many of which are not normally open to the public. Guided tours, exhibitions and special events will reveal the fascinating stories behind the town's rich heritage, from remarkable architecture to the everyday lives of the people who helped shape Ledbury into the vibrant community it is today.
