Polly Paulusma & Dan Whitehouse: Songs Before Sunrise: Saturday Live at The Globe

An intimate, atmospheric evening of songs, stories and spoken word with two of the UK’s most distinctive singer-songwriters, Dan Whitehouse and Polly Paulusma. Moving between solo performances and subtle interplay, the pair create a shared musical space where song and spoken word meet, blending sparse piano and guitar-led songs with richer, expansive textures. Dan’s acclaimed work explores presence, distance, fatherhood and social history, while Polly’s critically praised songwriting combines folk, pop and spoken word. Both artists are inspired by the practice of ‘morning pages’ — writing before the day begins, before the critical voice takes hold. Expect an evening shaped as much by creativity and conversation as performance, offering a rare opportunity to experience two compelling artists responding to each other’s work in real time.
