Hereford Chamber Choir, conducted by Simon Harper and accompanied by Hilary Norris on the organ, performs a concert of music by 20th century French composer Maurice Duruflé. Published in 1948, Duruflé's Requiem is a setting of the Latin Requiem Mass for mixed choir, soloist, and organ, and is rightly regarded as a masterpiece. The programme also features Duruflé's Quatre Motets, four sacred motets composed in 1960: Ubi caritas et amor, Tota pulchra es, Tu es Petrus, and Tantum ergo. Refreshments available.
