Rhodds Barn

Kington
Rhodds farm is an active farm with sheep and cattle grazing in the fields. The farm buildings are placed around a small courtyard, in a rural and quiet setting, although only 2 miles from Kington, a well-known market town.
Next to the farm buildings is a marvellous ancient wood of around 15 acres, including a large pond. The farm buildings are the centre of a 3.5 acre garden – one of the owners is a garden designer, and the garden is open during the summer for visitors. The barn is a very substantial building – over 60 foot long internally and with a second floor.
Most of the ground floor is a very large sitting and dining area, but with a well-equipped kitchen and also a shower room and an additional toilet. Upstairs is another large sitting area with a television, and then two bedrooms, both with en-suite bathrooms. Leading off the top floor is a balcony looking over the fields. One bedroom has a large double bed, and the other can be changed to twin beds or a double bed.
There are huge windows on either side right up to roof level, bringing in light to the whole interior. There is a large wood burner with as much wood as a guest could need as well as central heating for the bedrooms. The principal room has a large library with an extensive selection of books. A particular feature is a genuine working 1959 Wurlitzer jukebox.
