Ledbury Poetry Festival 2025
About This Event
A vibrant programme packed with world-class poetry and breathtaking storytelling. The opening weekend alone sets a dazzling pace, featuring the incredible Pascale Petit, Lemn Sissay OBE, and Versopolis poets Bejan Matur and Hamed Abboud, kicking off 10 days of unforgettable performances, workshops, talks and family-friendly fun.
This year’s festival is full of breathtaking storytellers, from Michael Rosen and Jackie Kay to Richard Scott, Romalyn Ante and Ellen Cranitch, sharing tales of life in all its complexity – the coming apart, the rebuilding, and the beauty in between.
The 2025 Poet in Residence is Zaffar Kunial, who not only curates a selection of standout events but also premieres brand-new work commissioned by Ledbury Poetry, which is set to be one of the festival’s major highlights.
New for this year, BBC Radio 4 will record a special edition of The Verb live at the festival – a first for Ledbury.
The festival will once again transform the historic market town of Ledbury into a buzzing hub of creativity, conversation and captivating verse.
