About This Event
The Richards Castle Soap Box Derby, an annual event since 2004, is scheduled for June 29, 2025, from 10 am to 4 pm at Hanway Common, Richards Castle, on the Herefordshire/Shropshire border. Participants race homemade carts downhill, competing for the fastest times. This year's theme, "Down on the Farm," sponsored by McConnel, offers a £500 prize for the best-themed cart and £250 for the runner-up. The event features food stalls, bouncy castles, and live entertainment, aiming to raise funds for local charities.
