A Herefordshire Food Safari

A Safari but not as you know it… come with us on an immersive foodie expedition as we journey through our county’s rich gastronomic landscape.
Our rural, agricultural heritage means these lands are scattered with incredible artisanal food producers, authentic farm-to-table food experiences, stunning vineyards and even award-winning cheeses.
In fact, from the fields and orchards of Herefordshire have sprung some of the UK's most cherished brands, including Tyrrells Crisps and Weston's Cider.
With so much good stuff on offer, we couldn't possibly cover it all in one go, so we've curated three distinct Safaris, covering all corners of Herefordshire, each designed to help you uncover the hidden gems and celebrated flavours of our county. Whether you follow one of our curated trips or build your perfect itinerary by picking and mixing your favourite Safari stops, get ready to explore!

South Herefordshire
The Heartlands of Cider Country
The quaint market town of Ross-on-Wye, perched on a hill above the banks of the river, serves as an excellent basecamp for exploring foodie gems in the south of the county. In between bites, you can browse independent shops, saunter the historic streets or, if you are feeling more active, launch a canoe.

The Golden Valley
Agricultural Artisans Uncovered
With its swathes of dramatically rolling green hills, smatterings of castle ruins, and sheep as far as the eye can see, a trip to the Golden Valley can transport you to what feels like a bygone era. The food and drink on offer, however, is very much at the cutting edge of this century and even includes a Michelin Green Starred restaurant

North Herefordshire
A Taste of Rural Tradition
Surrounded by picturesque countryside and quaint black and white villages, lies the charmingly down-to-earth and historic market town of Leominster. There are (naturally) foodie havens galore to be explored in the vicinity but setting up camp near here has an added advantage - it’s an antiques mecca, so you can explore the treasure troves of collectibles on offer too (outside of meal times, of course).
