About This Event
Overview:
You will be expertly guided in different watercolour techniques in order to develop your skills. Furthermore, you will have plenty of opportunity to practise the different watercolour techniques in order to consolidate your learning.
Experience level:
This workshop is primarily aimed at beginners. The workshop attendees are limited to 8 people to ensure that everyone can receive the help and support that they require.
About the tutor:
The workshop will be led by Sharon Brookes who is the proprietor and lead tutor of Backbury House Retreats. She has a degree in Art, is a practising artist as well as a fully qualified art teacher with nearly 30 years’ experience of teaching in a range of educational settings.
During the watercolour workshop, we will explore:
- Firstly, you will be given a short introduction to the tasks with lots of visual examples to inspire.
- Following, you will receive step-by-step practical demonstrations on lots of different watercolour technique with full guidance at every stage. This will include how to fully experiment with watercolour in order to achieve amazing creative effects.
- Afterwards, you will learn how to achieve finer details and increasing control. By the end of the watercolour workshop, you will aim to achieve a more accomplished watercolour painting which you can then proudly take home.
