Volunteering Day Bracken Bashing
Come and help us reveal a thousand years of history by cutting back the bracken at Buckholt hill fort. Energy and enthusiasm required, but no previous experience is necessary. Tools will provided, and you'll be shown how to use them safely. This task will be using sharp long handled hooks, so will only be suitable for people 16 years or older.
(Anyone between 16 & 18 will need to be accompanied by a responsible adult).
You will need to bring clothes suitable for the conditions with long sleeves, trousers, strong footwear with good grip. Please also bring lunch, drinks, hats, suncream, waterproofs as appropriate.
A great day out working in a magical location rich in both wildlife and history.
