Monnington House

Featured in Conde Nast Traveller as One of the Best British Houses to book for the year ahead.   Monnington House is special and was Awarded by Visit Herefordshire 'Best Self Catering House'.   It has 9 huge bedrooms and 9 bathrooms.  The beds are high specification and the egyptian linen is luxurious.  Quality of sleep is considered.   Fantastic working kitchen which is well equipped and dining area for up to 20.   Lots of sitting rooms with comfy sofas and woodburners to escape to if needed!

On site there is a table tennis room, a games room, a huge playing field with shared use and  football goals and a  very big secluded garden.   You can find numerous walking trails on the door step including the Wye Valley Walk plus fishing on the Wye is available by arrangement.

There is a pub within 16 minutes walk and Oakchurch, the farm shop is only 1.8 miles from the house.   Guests frequently visit the Rare Breeds Farm at Kington, The National Trust Weir Gardens, The Mappa Mundi in Hereford Cathedral and Hay on Wye.

Local caterers often work in the house either cooking a celebratory dinner or are asked to cook every night giving everyone time off and a well earned holiday.

Dogs are welcome by prior arrangement and must be content on a working farm.   They love staying at Monnington House and often are repeat guests.
