Hereford Cathedral is home to a community which has worked and worshipped together continuously for over 1,300 years.

The present building includes examples of architecture, stained glass and art from all periods which can be further explored with our knowledgeable guides and volunteers. There are also many opportunities for visitors to experience the music of the cathedral with a range of concerts and recitals taking place during the year. After a busy day, Evensong is a wonderful opportunity to listen to Hereford Cathedral Choir and find some peace and tranquillity.

A day at the cathedral would not be complete without visiting the Mappa Mundi & Chained Library Exhibition which draws visitors and scholars from across the world. The Hereford Mappa Mundi is the largest medieval world map to survive and the Chained Library holds over 1,500 rare books, including 229 medieval manuscripts.

Visitors to the cathedral can also choose from a selection of refreshments in the Cathedral Cafe and enjoy them in this unique historic space or relax outside in the beautiful Chapter House garden before visiting the Cathedral Shop for souvenirs or gifts.

Hereford Cathedral endeavours to be as accessible as possible, to find out more please visit: www.herefordcathedral.org/accessibility
