Hereford Military History Festival: SAS Duty Before Glory with Tony Rushmer
About This Event
The Spectra Veterans Series is a special lineup of events created specifically for the Armed Forces Community. Each event in the series explores key themes such as resilience, grit and determination, transitioning to civilian life, education, and mental health. Our expert speakers offer valuable insights and experiences that speak directly to those connected with the Armed Forces.
Tony Rushmer shares his highly acclaimed biography, SAS: Duty Before Glory, the inspirational story of SAS Original Reg Seekings, recently a major character in the hit BBC Series, SAS Rogue Heroes. From humble beginnings in the Cambridgeshire Fens to an instrumental role in the success of the SAS during the Second World War, Seekings climbed from private to squadron sergeant-major, becoming one of the British Army's most highly decorated non-commissioned officers of the Second World War. In short, Seekings was an ordinary man who did extraordinary things.
